ဒီေန.ဖတ္ျဖစ္တဲ. My Paper 4 March ထဲက ေဆာင္းပါးရွင္ Mr Nelson Quah ရဲ.

I refer to the letter ' Parents crucial in fight against cyber-bullies' ( my paper , Jan 20)
To help parents discharge their role effectively , more should be done to educate them on what cyber-bullying is all about.
Here are some measures which parents can teach theirs childern to prevent them from cyber bully-victims.

1.Do not provide your personal information online.

2.Do not disclose your password to anyone , expect your parent.

3.Do not respond to a threatening message .Bring it to your parents's attention.

4.Do not open e-mail from an anonymous sender or a bully.

5.Do not put anything which can be used against you online .

6.Do not send message to anyone when you are angry. Consider how your recipients will react before sending them.

If left unchecked , cyber-bullying can lead to serious crimes such as threats , assaults , harassment and sexual exploitation. In such cases , the police should be informed.
It is high thme the authorities did something to protect Internet users, especially children, from falling prey to bullies.
For a start , they can creat public awareness by launching programmes and campaigns against cyber-bullying.
